This is a story of Ruben Guthrie who is an advertisement executive with a lifestyle of a partyboy and a model fiancée. He has everything everyone admires until his fiancée leaves him due to his drunken skylarking. However, she gives him a last chance: she will be back with him if he can spend one year without drinking.
